Aim: To prepare the boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy and other walks of life.

- 10-11 years(boys born between 02 July 2000 & 01 July 2001)
For admission to class IX

Total Number of Vacancies: Class VI: 100 (Approximately) Class IX: 05 only.
Personnel with Karnataka Domicile or Defence Personnel posted in Karnataka are eligible for majority of seats. Few seats are open for other states also.Children of Coast Guard personnel will be considered for admission only against unfilled vacancies reserved for Defence Category.
Admission: The school does not patronise any coaching institute / agency and the admissions are given strictly in accordance with the merit in the entrance examination, interview and subsequent medical fitness of candidates.
Category wise Reservation of Seats: 25% for sons of Defence and Ex-Defence Personnel, 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST.
Scholarships: Different types of scholarships are given by Central / State Governments depending upon the parents' monthly income. Details are given in the Prospectus.

The Written Entrance Test comprises questions on Mathematical Knowledge, Language Ability and Intelligence. Those who qualify the Written Test are called for Interview and Medical Examination.
Written test will consist of the following papers:
Class VI: (Kannada or English) 300 marks
Paper 1 - Maths & Language - 02 hrs - 200 Marks
Paper 2 - Intelligence - 50 mts 100 Marks
Class IX: (English)450 marks
Paper 1 - Maths & Science - 02:30 hrs - 275 Marks
Paper 2 - English & Social Studies - 02:00 Hrs - 175 Marks
